F. Jay Hoder

Jay Hoder is a seasoned business executive with over 30 years experience in the insurance and employee benefit fields. Jay teamed with his brother and business partner, John, to form Benefit Concepts in 1984. Together they have built the company into one of the country's largest benefits administration outsourcing organizations. Benefit Concepts currently employs more than 170 people at its corporate office in East Providence, Rhode Island, and its software development group in Toledo, Ohio.
Prior to founding Benefit Concepts, Jay was an agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company where he earned the professional designations Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) and Charted Life Underwriter (CLU).
Jay received a B.A. from Wesleyan University and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also served in the U.S. Navy for three years. Jay is married, has two grown daughters and serves on the Executive Board of the Narragansett Council, BSA.
